That's all I know...no details of times or places.

Anyone got information on the Tigers? All I know is that their offense is explosive and the pitching's not bad either. They're the #2 seeded team by the NCAA, so it'll be a challenge.

Clemson has Steve Reba and Matt Henrie as their top starters, and Khalil Greene at SS. Greene is arguably the best player in college baseball this season. The Super Regional starts this Friday at Clemson.

The Hogs will need some luck and some good breaks this weekend, but it's just good to see the baseball team performing at a top level again. As long as our pitchers keep doing well and our offense can stay alive (Arkansas has some of the lowest offensive numbers in the SEC), then I think we can pull off the upset and head to Rosenblatt for the first time since 1989.

Oh, and by the way <img border="0" alt="[Cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/cheers.gif" /> here's the post-game comments and all-Wichita region team. The HOGS represented well indeed.

And btw, Norm, thanks for letting Nick Pitts have his opportunity! <img border="0" alt="[laugh]" title="" src="graemlins/laughing.gif" />

Arkansas' Nick Pitts
On feelings on three games in the tournament ...
"I was just doing what I think I am supposed to do. I expect that out of myself, just making contact with the ball. Wherever it goes it goes you know. I think our players and my teammates had a pack that you know we are going to have fun today, we are going to have fun this weekend. We haven't been here in a long time and if you win you have fun."

UA Coach DeBriyn
Feelings on Nick Pitts ...
"When he came into our program I never gave him an ounce of chance to play and I will never forget one incident he was red-shirted the first year and then next year I never gave him the opportunity and so on and that was the 2000 year and we weren't doing very well. We were hitting in the cages and a lot of times he wasn't included in the groups so he continued to sit in the batting cages and hit on his own and hit off the team. And he said one day, coach can I talk to you and I said sure and we went right there in Baum Stadium in the coach's dressing room and visited for a minute. He asked me if he would ever get an opportunity and I told him no. I just had to be brutally honest; I didn't want to after all he had been through to lead him on and he (Pitts) looked at me and said thanks for your time. I will never forget that."

Just a lil history note as well.

The Hogs and Clemson have never played in football or basketball against each other.

They have met in baseball 3 times. The Razorbacks own a narrow 2-1 series lead. Clemson won the last game however, 12-4, in Fayetteville in 1999.

That 1999 matchup was when the Hogs hosted a regional. It was the game after the terrible SMS loss that sent us home. Lets hope that the Hogs have can maybe have some revenge on their mind and go win this series this weekend.

Go Hogs, Beat Clemson!
